How is the migration from CLIQ Manager (CM) to CLIQ Local Manager (CLM) performed (video/film)?

The migration from the old CLIQ Manager (CM) to the CLIQ Local Manager (CLM) is basically quite simple.

We would like to give you a brief overview in this way:

  1. Backup for migration (A2B file) must have been created from the last version of CM (3.6.10)
    1. Otherwise, please update the CM
    2. dach.assaabloy.com/de/en/downloadportal/136:484-cliq-software
  2. You absolutely need the current desk programming device (depending on the CLIQ system, CP04, NP04 or VP04).
    1. This one for example: VERSO Desk programming device
  3. Install CLM
    1. You can get a link from the specialist trade partner
    2. Please ensure that the Windows updates are up to date, i.e. do not initially connect the PC to the Internet for the installation of the CLM, but install the updates beforehand (otherwise problems may occur).
  4. Start CLM and
  5. A2B migrate
  6. Import licence
  7. Perform import
    • People pictures, building plans (doors), reports from reporting, schedule templates, more than 1 address field for people, open orders are not taken over

Additionally you will find on our youTube channel helpful videos.

What is a license file and what do I need it for?

The licence file is required to activate the CLIQ Local Manager.

You will receive this file from your CLIQ specialist trade partner. The file name corresponds to your locking system number.

This file is also used to activate optional functions in the software.

What's the difference between a release and a patch for the CLIQ Local Manager?

Releases:
These contain new functions in the software as well as adjustments in the event of a possible change of operating system. New releases always require a new licence.

Patches:
These only contain bug fixes for existing functions. The patches can be applied without a new licence.

Visually, you can easily distinguish a release from a patch. With a release change, the first number of the version number is always changed. With patches, on the other hand, only the back numbers change.

Example:
You have installed a version 1.7.2.

  • A patch would be the version 1.7.3.
  • A release would be the version 2.0.1.

Which data are migrated from CLIQ Manager to the CLIQ Local Manager?

When migrating from the old CLIQ Manager (CM) to the new CLIQ Local Manager (CLM), the legitimate question arises as to which data from the old environment will be migrated to the new one. With the help of screenshots from the old system, we give you an overview, which can, however, also change.

Character card

Here is an overview of the information that is stored in the character card and taken into account during migration. It is important to note that only one contact field per type can be transferred at a time. Rarely used fields have been deleted and data from these would have to be transferred manually to a field that can be migrated.

The orange entries are optional. During migration, you will be asked which of these numbers you want to transfer. You must decide on a number.

Key card

The information of the keys is all transmitted.

Cylinder card

Here, almost all fields are migrated, too. One important point that is unfortunately not migrated for technical reasons is the history of access authorisations.

Menu bar

Not only does the menu bar in the CLM look slightly different, but the item of the building plan is no longer offered in the CLM. If you use the building plan, the CLM will ask you during the migration whether you want to migrate the groups (doors) with one cylinder each or not. We recommend selecting "No" here. This way, the cylinders are ungrouped and are available to you without a linked group (door). The details of the door are then transferred to the "Second name" and remain.
