With the counting function, up to 32 freely programmable counters can be configured per SCALA net controller. This means that the number of people or the number of authorised accesses can be counted, for example.
The counting function can also be used to limit the number of people in a specific area. This may be necessary in a car park with a limited number of parking spaces, for example. By assigning categories, it is also possible to control the number of people depending on the allocation.
